Manjaro Lyria KDE Installation Failure (Failure to Start Log in Service)

Hello.

I was trying to install Majaro on my new laptop from a USB live image, when the installation froze at 95% (“Misc. Posinstallation Config”) to the point where not even the cursor could move, before the live image crashed, and the laptop started to reboot (despite no imput from my end).

When my laptop booted up, I was greeted by this mess of error messages:
[Failed] Failed to start log-in service
[Failed] Failed to start create system users
[Failed] Failed to start rebuild journal log
[Failed] Failed to start Update is complete

And I cannot imput anything nor boot to live image.

Is there a way to un-brick this laptop?
Thanks in advance

You probably have a bad download of the ISO:

  • Check the SHA1 hash of the download
    • if different, please re-download and reinstall

    • If correct, boot the USB again and Please read this:

and post some more information so we can see what’s really going on. Now we know the symptom of the disease, but we need some more probing to know where the origin lies…

An inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width would be the minimum required information… (Personally Identifiable Information like serial numbers and MAC addresses will be filtered out by the above command)
