My microphone connecting through jack is not detected by Manjaro. I am trying to connect a microphone with my laptop, but the laptop does not recognize it. When I go to setting > sound > output, there was only one option, microphone built-in audio. There was no sound recognize in the system.
I tried switching my microphone from pluging into my laptop directly to plug into my headset jack port. This did not solve the problem. Moreover, the laptop cut the bluetooth headset connection off. I tried to use the built-in microphone from my headset before, but my laptop did not recognize it as a headset. It only allow my headset to connect as a headphone. Once I talked out loud whether with other people around me or testing the headset microphone, the sound connection was cut to silent.
The built-in microphone of my headset works because I tested it with other devices: phone and ipad, but not linux.
I used to connect my wired headset with an extended microphone to the mouth and it worked just fine. I switch to the bluetooth one because it has some superior function(s) over the wired one and also because the wired one is really old and a bit torn.
The bluetooth headset device: Sony WH-1000XM4
The wired headset device: Razor Gaming Headset (from 2015 if I am not mistaken, not the newest one in the market)
The laptop: Acer E5-473G
