so you have spamming … ok, lets fix it, navigate via dolphin to etc/default/grub
and in this line: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT
add this parameter: pci=nomsi
- you add it inside the " " quotes - there will be other parameters like quiet apparmor=1 security=apparmor … than copy the line and post it here if you did it correctly
so in /etc/default/grub
i have near the top this line now:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet pci=nomsi resume=UUID=a32e7c07-2745-437d-8730-6009ad9568a5 udev.log_priority=3"
looks good, now save and exit the file, open terminal and run this:
sudo update-grub
reboot and check again the ksystemlog for spamming
The spamming is reduced to new entries about 3 - 5 seconds + less red lines.
So, how do we solve the login issues?
do you have your wifi turned on? if no turn it on, and check again, also post a screenshot of ksystemlog, what those messages are, bc thats a lot of loggin
I have wifi on, i am on x after I run startx
from tty
with all DE features.

looks like the aer spamming is gone… so go to system settings, search for sddm, click on ‘behavior’ and check automatically log in with session x11, click apply, reboot and see if you can normally boot
My situation still persists, after changing the settings.
ok check again logs with this:
journalctl --boot=0 --priority=5 --no-pager
and copy the last 40 here
Output of journalctl --boot=0 --priority=5 --no-pager | tail -n 40

Those are my custom systems service tests, somehow I am having trouble disabling their timers.
is it:
systemctl --user stop myjob.timer
?
and those audit messages are in red/yellow color? … can you disable your custom services? reboot and try again
All of them are red.
I have disabled all of my custom services, but I still can’t login through SDDM.
ok so provide output also from:
inxi -Fazy
for someone more skilled, because i have no idea… so you could try installing the 5.10 lts kernel, from system settings/ kernel … also uninstalling the modesseting driver, and keep only the video linux driver, than reboot, select the 5.10 and try with it:
command for uninstalling modesseting:
sudo mhwd -r pci video-modesetting
also check in system settings under autostart what you have there
Output of inxi -Fazy

For autostart, I have only megasync.
ok, I try those too.
Tank you for helping me!
ok let me know how it went
None of these solved my issue.
Just randomly one day my system works and the other it is broken and nobody knows what to do with it. I didn’t modify any system files. Yesterday, I was modifying my .bashrc
and visiting my /etc/profile
file.
Although, the symptoms could be somehow related.
Do you know where I could find the default /etc/profile
file for manjaro kde?
ok, so its probably not related to your graphic drivers, so you can install them again:
sudo mhwd -i pci video-modesetting
sudo mhwd -i pci video-hybrid-intel-nvidia-prime
reboot
you could then try creating a new user and try with him if you still get stuck
and for the /etc/profile/ i assume the best way would be from a live usb comparing it
I have tried the new user approach already and it had the same issue. Also reinstalled the drivers, nothing lead to solving the issue.
