Manjaro KDE / Architect 19 & 20 won't boot

Hello first off i love manjaro so far it does what i need to do but i want too go farther down into it but i cant.

First off 18 kde works lke a charm can boot into the live environment install and even upgrade al the way too latest.

the problem comes into play on 19 and now 20. the iso hags on startup an i am at a total loss how too fix this.

tride 2 different DVD an verified the iso checked out even installed kde 20 on sons IBM netbook.

tride the free an none free drivers hangs same spot I believe where it hangs is right before gong into the live desktop.

Now here is the kicker i also downloaded the architect version both 19 and 20 an they also hang but where they hang is enter user name an passwords.

I type manjaro an enter an system sits there for 15 or so min before it asks again for username an once again hangs for 15 then asks for password whereupon it gives input/output error an locks up.

The last thing i did try is installing virtual boxx and tride installing manjaro in vertual box the instiation went perfect. makes me think some knd of video card issue maybe/

system specs
nvidia 210 video card ibm mothrboaed with 32 gig of ram a an i5 2.6 ghz intel cpu.

I am positive something small I just cannt find it.

also if anyone knows how too invert colors of web pages an documents? I am slowly going blind an i can barly read web pages cause there to bright. black page with white text would be great thanks for an help.

Can we see the output of inxi -Fxxxz on the system you are having trouble with? If the Manjaro 18 ISO works, you can use that to get it.

I would just point out that Manjaro is rolling, so the difference between installing 18 then updating and installing 20 is mostly a different default theme. You could always just install that theme after updating from the 18 ISO. Remember the version numbers are mostly for the ISOs, they don't really have much meaning outside of that.

That being said, it is somewhat difficult to update the system from an 18 ISO so if you pulled that off without assistance, nice work!
:confetti_ball:

how do get hat for you.

Boot off the working live ISO, any version.

Open a terminal, type:

inxi -Fxxxz

Open a browser off the live ISO and post it here.

Thanks for the replies just got out o the hospitol. I tride the install 18 an then ugrade got a barly functioning system it boots but gives swap errors wont download teh nvidia drivers an just runs like poo.

So here is teh output you asked for dalto I dont know ho to make it look pretty though. I also put in different graphics card to see if that would work any better no dice.

All fixed.
strangest thing I hooked up external dvd an this fixed it well the dvd booted but then in order too install I had to disconect the internal dvd/

Once this was done the dvd booted and installed perfectly. The internal dvd must be having some kind of problem.
