Manjaro is not showing in grub

My manjaro dist wouldn’t update and couldn’t find the mirrors.
I followed some tutorials from google to fix it but now I’ve made it even worse.
Only memtest86 was starting on boot.
It seemed that grub didn’t exist no more.
I have now followed tutorials to get grub back, but Manjaro is not showing in grub.
I only have a simple command line grub when booting.

I’ve also tried to delete the grub folder and do:

manjaro-chroot
mkdir /boot/grub
grub-mkcondig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
grub-install /dev/sda

But when I reboot I still only have the bash like grub thingy.

[manjaro /]# sudo efibootmgr -v
EFI variables are not supported on this system.
[manjaro /]# test -d /sys/firmware/efi && echo efi || echo bios

All you needed to do was:

sudo pacman-mirrors -f 5 #updates mirrorlist and ranks by speed up to 5 mirrors
sudo pacman -Syyu #syncs, refreshes mirrors, updates

I personally use: sudo pacman-mirrors -f 0 && sudo pacman -Syyu

It might be easier to just reinstall Manjaro from this point. More so because we don’t know every single thing you did that might have damaged your installation.

The thing is it also said:

error: GPGME error: No data
error: GPGME error: No data
error: GPGME error: No data

But yes, I’ve come to the conclusion that a reinstall will be the best and easiest solution. And then I have to remember to make Timeshift backups :slight_smile:

Thank you for your reply tho.
