Manjaro-i3 live installer not booting on Dell XPS 9500

The systemd bootup process is failing while trying to boot the installation media for Manjaro-i3 (20.1.2-201019 64 bit). I booted it successfully on another machine, yet when trying to boot it with my Dell XPS 9500, the systemd bootup process stalls. Specifically, it gets to this point:

[FAILED] Failed to start User Login Management.
See ‘systemctl status systemd-logind.service’ for details.
[ OK ] Stopped User Login Management.
[ OK ] Listening on D-Bus System Message Bus Socket.
Starting User Login Management…
[ OK ] Started D-Bus System Management Bus.
[ OK ] Started D-Bus System Management Bus.
[ OK ] Started D-Bus System Management Bus.
[ OK ] Started D-Bus System Management Bus.
[ OK ] Started D-Bus System Management Bus.
[FAILED] Failed to start D-Bus System Management Bus.
see ‘systemctl status dbus.service’ for details.
[ **** ] A start job is running for User Login Management ( 1min 3s / 1min 30s)

And this repeats over and over again without resolving (I left it going for a few hours). I have performed this with the disk completely wiped as well as with other OS installed.

Can you switch to TTY? Press Ctrl+Alt+F2

Make sure you switch from RAID to AHCI in BIOS, disable secure boot … More could be just as for this similar models:
