  1. After update each time on booting it up to OS - there’s insanely loud beeper signal, i almost have heart stroke and fell from chair. Usually beeper indicates some hardcore errors.

There are few new erorrs in journal:
    sudo journalctl -p 3 -xb

I really need help with this one.

  1. Shutdown now takes veeery long time, after it shows what seems to be some terminal errors on brief moment, just before shutdown.

  2. On 4k screen deepin-exlorer RMB - Open in new window as admin opens admin root-explorer without scaling, it happens all the time, just as root-Filemanager from programs.

  3. Login pasword input field after suspend / logout have exceptionally large dots, almost as big as field itself.

  1. Today i’ve found that i have no keyboard layots now in settings and forced to use only english, before i had 2.

On all machines and VM:

  1. After changing system language to another language, logout, enter system - language in deepin settings doesn’t change.

I’m not sure if i’m on Manjaro stable, feels more like testing :grinning:
Anyway, hope together we’ll make it better!

Suggestions to improve Manjaro Deepin
[Stable Update] 2019-02-09 - Kernels, Deepin, Firefox, Wine, Python, Haskell
#2

sudo rmmod pcspkr

sudo echo "blacklist pcspkr" > /etc/modprobe.d/nobeep.conf

the rest of the issues, no idea.

#3

Thank you for saving my life & health! :star_struck:

As far as i understand that’s killing effect, rather than reason, and i’m really interested in what caused this after update.

But at least now i’ll be alive to continue debug journey)

P.S. For newcomers here:
sudo echo "blacklist pcspkr" > /etc/modprobe.d/nobeep.conf
this part haven’t worked, i had to manually create and add, but it’s easy)
sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/nobeep.conf
and go for it!

#4

Updated OP for VAIO test-machine:
2. Today i’ve found that i have no keyboard layots now in settings and forced to use only english, before i had 2.

#5

Looks like you keep on having a lot of troubles with Manjaro Deepin. As usual I can’t reproduce them. Deepin works flawlessly here…

May I suggest you something radical mate? How about backing up important data and go for a brand new fresh install?

#6

Both of this test systems are extremely fresh, in fact first one is done yesterday morning and have no user-specific software installed.
Second is like week long.

Hence i call them test-systems, i’m not moving to Manjaro full-time yet, just very active hardware / software test.

So it’s not some radical voodoo-magic on my side)
And most of this bugs i can easily reproduce on VM in virtualbox, so wonder how come you don’t have them (excluding 4k, if you don’t have 4k monitor)

All of this systems installed from, checsums checked:
manjaro-deepin-18.0.2-stable-x86_64.iso

#7

Ok, maybe a lot of troubles are related to the 4k monitor then (yes, I don’t have one on my Deepin machine).

I tend to suggest radical solutions because after fighting for years with my ex-wife one day I realized the solution was very simple… (1)

(1) No, I haven’t killed her.
