Is the ThinkPad L13 Yoga Gen 2 compatible with Manjaro ?
There is no L13 model in the arch linux wiki laptop compatibility list.
Is it a big risk to buy this laptop to run Manjaro ? How to check if the hardware is compatible ?
This is the main hardware overview :
|Processor|Intel Core 11th Gen i5-1135G7, 2.4 / 4.2 GHz (4-core)|
|Storage|512 GB SSD NVMe|
|Display|13.3", 1920 x 1080, glossy, IPS|
|GPU|Intel Iris Xe Graphics|
Thank you in advance for your help.
We can’t help you with that - with the diversity of system combination - you should run an internet search for the device in question - combined with keywords like linux compatibility - if it works with other distributions - it most like work with Manjaro - if it don’t then Manjaro is a miss too.
Lenovo generally has a great reputation for running Linux on most of their hardware - but some models may be equipped with hardware which do not work well on Linux - especially touchpad and wifi should be checked - also - do not expect the same functionality with touchscreen and pen like on Windows - most likely only basic functionality of the pen can be expected.
There is one way to make sure however - boot the system on a live ISO.
Topic closed - too generic to be useful.
