What are the differences between full and minimal?

#3

Asking the real question

#4

Have a look at this list
Every package marked with >extra is not included in the minimal but only the full edition

edit: I have included more detailed information now in the original announcement

It’s very nice and well-done, no problems with this release.
Everything seems to be working pretty good.

#8

what’s the memory usage?

#9

On my existing install it idles between 700 and 800 MB, in vbox RAM usage is a little higher because of the software rendering mode. There I get between 800 and 900 MB.

#10

I have updated the ISOs once more with today’s stable package update. Also I have moved transparency gsettings to gnome-terminal-fedora package where they belong.
Please note that when you like to have terminal transparency enabled you need to replace default gnome-terminal (which will also ask you to replace vte3 with vte3-common plus vte3-notification).

#11

Do you mean the minimal edition? Because this is what the list looks like.

#12

no. I mean the full edition.

#13

You seem to have bumped both versions but can’t find minimals on osdn?

#14

I don’t see anything wrong:

#15

Yes found it now. Thank you.

#16

Looks great. I installed 17.1.11 over my previous Manjaro-Cinnamon. The re-install fixed a palemoon seg-fault that none of my other Manjaro installs had.

My only issue was with the installer. My fstab listed 3 swap partitions, not the single one I selected in manual partitioning. There was no “do not use” option for the other 2 swap partitions (for other linux’s on one HD.) The installer only formatted the one I picked. I edited the fstab and everything is fine. No trouble with grub.

sorry i didn’t know where to ask
i am absolutely in love with manjaro cinnamon but i have a problem that drives me crazy, when i open th emenu i see every program/app/ tool displayed twice, how can i solve this?
here you can see what i am saying

thanks to whoever will answer

#19

You can probably use the menu editor to delete the duplicate entries, found in the second tab of menu configure.

#20

Linux Cinnamon 19 uses less RAM usage than that.
