Manjaro xfce , Posibilidades de optimización ..?

Hola, ayer volví a instalar manjaro para probar a ver que tal estaba en diseño y utilidad en mi mini pc portátil antiguo de 2Gb de ram. Me gustaría saber si hay alguna posibilidad de sin perder la visualización del escritório para optimizar mi equipo y aliviarle un poco la carga de ram. Nada más arrancar ya se pone en algo más de 500mb de ram.
Le tengo con 4Gb de swap que es lo que le instaló manjaro sin hacer nada.
