Manjaro 17.0.5 No hdmi sound and strange reboot

Hi guys,

Newbie here. I have just installed the community deepin 17.0.5 os. I dont have any hdmi sound as all the hdmi adapters are saying they are unplugged in pauvcontrol this is with nvidia drivers installed.

Also when i reboot the computer the screen goes black, and stays black until you go to the machine and manually reboot it then it will boot as normal. Any ideas- I can grab logs or whatever I needed.

Thanks in advance for any help :slight_smile:

open the volume control app (pavucontrol) and go to configuration tab and under profile i want you to choose HDMI audio (or something like that)

Ok, thanks.

Will check when im home.

Hi, Will get that info thru soon, im trying a cinnamon install to see if that does it as well.

acpi_osi=Linux acpi=force acpi_enforce_resources=lax

That fixed the reboot issue inputted here.

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="acpi_osi=Linux acpi=force acpi_enforce_resources=lax "

Will get this info asap!! thanks

Ah Cinnamon has sound so ill leave it there.

although i really like the way KDE looks over cinnamon. So ill change back at a later date/

Thanks for your time
