Make a Manjaro Bootable on external USB drive

Hello,

I installed a Manjaro on an internal hard drive and then I put that hard drive in an external box (I disassemble the PC for that). Then I tried to boot it from the UEFI. It’s working for few seconds then I have a rescue console (I think it’s a kernel panic).

My question :

  • Did I miss something to allow my drive to boot on USB ?

I think if I reinstall it with the USB it could work but, if I can, I prefere to avoid that. I thought about some flags to set for the partition or something like that maybe …

Regards,

Add “–removable” to your grub-install command.
See here, here, here, here and here.

Thanks, it works now
