VMware as a platform for running Manjaro is unsupported.
There has been a couple of issues where kernel is not supported by VMware.
Also plymouth may interfere - again a kernel gpu driver issue.
Reboot and choose 6.1 kernel - 6.6 is likely not yet supported by VMware.
