Lutris / Watch Dogs 2 / Game stops during launch after last Manjaro update

Hi all

My current system first:

Operating System: Manjaro Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.73.0
Qt Version: 5.15.0
Kernel Version: 5.8.6-1-MANJARO
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz
Memory: 62.7 Gio of RAM
Graphics Processor: GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER/PCIe/SSE2

Now my problem.
I took advantage of the UBISOFT offer a few months ago and got Watch Dogs 2.
I installed it through the LUTRIS script - at the time I was using 5.4.64-1 Kernel, later updated to 5.7.19-2.
Graphics driver was nideo-nvidia-440xx.
The game worked perfectly and I enjoyed it.
Over the week-end before last I upgraded to 5.8.6-1 kernel and video-nvidia-450xx driver.

The game launched but there was some stutter that did not exist before.

This week-end I wanted to play again but I’m now unable to play - or more exactly the game launches, allows me to click on the “continue” option and starts loading the last save… and stops with the following console messages:

System information:
    Wine build: wine-5.7.r0.g2ad422ff ( TkG Staging Esync Fsync Vkd3d DXVK-Compatible )
    Platform: x86_64
    Version: Windows 7
    Host system: Linux
    Host version: 5.8.6-1-MANJARO

Additional info:
Wine version lutris-5.7.5-x86_64
DXVK version 1.7.1L-743f309

Nothing has been updated between the 2 game sessions - though before posting here today I did a sudo pacman -Syyu (which lead to no update either).

I’d appreciate if someone could decrypt the above dump and give me some pointers to solve the problem…

Did you use a Lutris installer? Steam via Proton or UPlay via Wine? The protondb reports look pretty good.

Lutris installer - launched the script from the site.

I really don’t understand what could have changed over a week… As I said I did not update the system, did not even install or remove an application…
One week it’s working (and it has been working for over 150 hours of play) and poof!
It stops now, almost as if the program data was overflowing on a reserved memory area…
