Hi I have problem with speed of Wifi internet connection in Manjaro XFCE 21.2.5 . It download from internet in speed 1,7 MB/s and it should be 3,5 MB/s . I had same problem in Ubuntu 20.4 and it was kernel problem, I have 1,5 year old laptop and in Ubuntu I used older kernel and internet worked in good speed . I tried in Manjaro older kernels, but internet not work , so I used 3. newest kernel, internet connection works, but in low speed , What to do ? Thanks and sorry my English .
Hi @Fitness
Maybe you need to install drivers. It happened with me before (but on Artix).
Check this Internet connection is way too slow
Please let me know how it go with you.
I hope this helps.
Hi @Fitness,
In order for us, or anyone for that matter, to be able to provide assistance, more information is necessary. To that end, please see:
- [HowTo] Provide System Information,
- [HowTo] post screenshots and links,
- [HowTo] Make support easier, and

Hope you manage!
Thanks Mirdarthos , it takes me some time to learn .
As long as you stay teachable!

Thanks
Hi @Fitness, and sorry for now only coming back to you.
I see there’s what appears to be another driver for this adapter in the AUR:
$ pamac search RTL8821CE
rtl8821ce-dkms-git 1.0.5.r36.gca4abd8-1 AUR
rtl8821CE driver with firmware
And it might even be newer. So you can install it using:
pamac build rtl8821ce-dkms-git
Followed by rebooting and seeing if it works. Report back.
If perhaps it looks as if it doesn’t, when you report back, please post the output the previous command returned, as well as a new updated inxi
as you did above. If I’m not available then, someone else should be able to assist you.
Hope you come right.
Thanks for help, I tried and internet wifi connection is still slow .
That’s why I said, provide the output of the previous command. Which would be this one:
