Hello,
I’ve been having an issue lately with my nvidia setup after restarting my PC. It seems like whenever I reboot my computer, my desktop fps is stuck to 60 fps until I open the Nvidia X Server Settings application. Once that is opened I get 100+ fps which is normal. Then if I suspend and resume my PC, my FPS is all over the place until I restart kwin. I’m unsure if I missed a file or setting to have my card kick in properly on boots/resumes. I have both a xorg.conf file in /etc/X11/
as well as a nvidia.conf file in /etc/X11/mhwd.d
.
My system specs:
Operating System: Manjaro Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.73.0
Qt Version: 5.15.0
Kernel Version: 5.8.2-1-MANJARO
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz
Memory: 15.6 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: GeForce GTX 1080 Ti/PCIe/SSE2
I am currently using the 440 nvidia drivers but was experiencing a similar issue with the 450 drivers.
Anyone have an idea what I’m doing wrong? Thanks.
