HP Laserjet cp1025nw cannot be found

Hi all,

i am trying since days to get my network connected HP LaserJet cp1025nw working. on my Manjaro Linux device (HP Notebook x64)

Both devices are in the same network wired connected. A firewall is not in place on the Notebook.
All attempts to find the printer by the GUI HP Device Manager failed.

Once the application starts, telling me that no printer can be found.
Setting it up manually using the second option of device discovery also failed telling me that no printer can be found, even not if selecting the advanced option with the given IP adress of that printer.

My wife is using Ubuntu and he printer was detected automatically and can be used without issues.

Any help would be appreciated.

Just putting those here.

Hi @volkskamera

All my printers/scanners are HP and honestly I never used the HP’s Device Manager, but system-config-printer mostly. Currently my old printer deskjet5062 is connected to my fritz.box and it just works.

I just need to type the IP and the port 9100 at “AppSocket/HP JetDirect”. That’s it.
