linux-modules-cleanup.service was mentioned in the topic below. It is not installed on my Manjaro XFCE system running with the LT kernel 5.10.

It is something that is recommended to be on the system? I’ve not had any “missing modules” kernel type errors, but this is the first time I saw this hook.

How do I properly clean out a rogue kernel and/or modules?

In that case a manual start of the included cleanup service should suffice: $ systemctl start linux-modules-cleanup.service

It is not installed on my Manjaro XFCE system

It’s part of kernel-modules-hook which is of help if one doesn’t want to immediatly reboot after kernel updates.

You do not need it, if you reboot after updates.
