hey all,
yesterday my xfce menu panel all of a sudden disappeared, then shortly after my screen went black.
I did a hard reboot (5sec on button until off, then reboot)
and now I can’t get to the login screen anymore.
when I go into TTY F2, I can login and I can see that lightdm failed to start.
How do I fix this?
look for oddities in /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf - maybe your graphics driver needs attention - some times required with dual-graphics.
It worked fine almost all week, I am going back to a previous backup with timeshift
I tried reinstalling lightdm and gtk greeter but it didnt work
it worked. I fixed it with timeshift
reinstalling lightdm and collateral didnt work for me
