My tests were over an Ethernet adapter. (And I do have the exact same NAT networks.)
I used:
dd if=/dev/urandom bs=1 | pv | ssh host "dd of=/dev/null"Where host was another physical/remote host I have access to. I didn’t use Microsoft Edge, but that would have caught any disruption to the interface.
So this has to be WiFi related. Even the formation of the bridge could possibly do it (as it is so different from Ethernet.)
I do have an old laptop that hasn’t been updated in ages (with a working virtual environment, many pacnews ago). Hmm..
I avoid WiFi whenever I can!
