hi, I just updated my system recently
there is a problem. some programs (like libre office, kdenlive) take a long time to launch, like 3 or 4 minutes, i have no idea whats wrong with my system, any idea?
Use NVME.
Period.
Sorry, I’ve just misplaced my crystal ball.
By the way, inxi -Fza
is your and our friend.
Did you install a lot of fonts ?
How much space do you have left on your storage? Particularly /
— you might need to clean up some old cached Pacman packages, for example.
Not enough RAM in your machine, perhaps?
Without any information to go on, our guess is only as good as yours.
Just another post asking for system info.
Though I would say the preferred default should be;
inxi -Farz
I think your request will be in vain. The OP has never posted system info in their previous 9 support requests, apart from mentioning they use XFCE.
With insufficient data, you might have to take your best shot at a solution:

Are you maybe running out of RAM from time to time due to missing swap?
no

I have 4 gig free
Anyway, I would recommend to establish a swap partition or swap file, it’s pretty good documented in the wiki how to do so.
Yes
And please for SSD 870 EVO
Don’t let the usage percentage fool you. The memory may not be in use by applications, but it is still being used for caching and buffering, and with only 8 GiB of RAM and no swap, the system isn’t going to be doing a whole lot of caching, which does have an impact on performance.
Likewise, with little or no space fore buffering, all write operations will be very slow, and given that I/O is uninterruptible, any write operation will pause the execution of other processes.
so why does it happen like only running libreoffice and not wps office?
I do not have or use WPS Office, and I rarely ever fire up LibreOffice, but it might be related to their respective memory footprint. LibreOffice is quite a heavyweight.
What is your output of
pacman -Qs xdg-desktop
Make sure to uninstall xdg-desktop-portal-gnome
and xdg-desktop-portal-kde
if they show up.
The only one useful is xdg-desktop-portal
and xdg-desktop-portal-gtk
in your case.
This, and when RAM runs low, stuff has to be “dumped” by the system to free space when you try to open something else.
Only so many biscuits will fit in the tin, so to speak. No headroom and something has to give way. At least that’s the way I understand it.
