Laptop webcam not detected anymore

So latest update is that this has not fixed the problem.
So I’ve no idea if my laptop hardware is broken, or if I’m messed up my OS somehow.
Given my in-built webcam sometimes does work, and when it does it’s absolutely fine, I struggle to understand how a bad connection or cable could be the cause.
And given I reinstalled Manjaro from scratch with no hitches I don’t see how I could have broken the OS.

For now I’ve run out of options to debug this here.

I am facing a similar issue with a Blue Yeti microphone. It has recently started to reset unexpectedly, sound “pops”. After several resets it goes fully offline. Unplug and insert device does not work. On the other hand, a full system reboot makes the microphone work again. I see notifications like:

I’m sorry you’re facing similar issues. People have tried to help me but so far we -the community- have not found a solution for my issue. I hope someone will know how to help you.

my issue is slowly pushing me away from Arch/Manjaro as it’s not a really viable replacement for Windows if it breaks all the time like this. And for the record, I have no desire whatsoever to distro-hop and am still actively trying to figure out a solution to my problem.

If I may, I’d recommend when you’re typing you’re message, you click on the :gear: icon and the > hide details, then paste all of that output in there so it’s collapsable. It’ll make it easier to scroll through.
Btw, I only learned of that in the forum tutorial here.
