Laptop monitor not extend

I saw some similar posts but not working.

After installed nvidia driver(download from nvidia website) I open the nvidia-setting and overwrite conf to /etc/X11/xorg.conf(before I rewrite, my laptop can extend monitor. its normal).

And I remove /etc/X11/xorg.conf before backup and then only laptop monitor display, restore the conf then only the extend monitor display.
I don’t know how fixed it.

Please Help me,.
Many thanks.
PS: first time to use manjaro xfce.

I think its /etc/X11/xorg.conf problem but i don’t knwo how setting or find then origin X11/xorg.conf file, I rewrite it

Welcome to the forum!

Uninstall it and install it properly via Manjaro Settings Manager > Hardware Configuration.

It needs to be saved to /etc/X11/mhwd.d/nvidia.conf

See: https://wiki.manjaro.org/index.php/Configure_Graphics_Cards/

You might want to just delete it altogether and let Xorg automatically configure itself.

I try it this before i post this forum. Its install failed. (Im using archcn source, its that problem cause failed? )

I think it is better way to fixed that, but i have no idea to do this. delete what file?or how auto generate default xorg.conf

What source? That could be causing a problem indeed. Either way, it’s unsupported.

mirrors.tuna.tsinghua edu cn
im using this.

Solution By create a xorg.conf using sudo Xorg :0 --configure
