KDE flashing fix files and blocks threw multiple verions of KDE, happens with my spouses desktop also

Hello people:

For some reason KDE does not install properly? Throws warnings at boot and shutdown to fix a series of files and blocks? This has been happening from 21.0.4? It is so bad I switched to gnome, it has no such warnings showing up? I feel the KDE is unstable at this point. Never had problems before over the last 10 years. Usually can fix myself but not this time. Can’t read the warnings they disappear quickly. I will give you my information as can. I would like perhaps a fix because I enjoy KDE.

What you see is the fsck that is now in mkinitcpio

New Install on SSD (Do I have a problem here?)

This annoying message is caused by fsck on recent installations (because by default there is the fsck hook in mkinitcpio). You can hide it by forcing a different log level in grub parameters (but that might hide other messages too, to be verified). But in my opinion this message shouldn’t be shown at all when there is no issue during the check (which is the case here from the message), I think it is a problem from fsck itself outputting a ‘warning’ type of message for what should be a simple ‘…

It effectively breaks the quiet splash grub boot parameters and shows a warning message when you boot, to warn you there is nothing to worry about… This is dumb but you’ll have to deal with it or use trickery to not see it.

Thanks for the imformatiom @omano . What I think your saying is it is non-destructive, just an annoyancel. Hopfully a fix at some point? We can only pray.

If the message you see is the message discussed in the threads linked then yes it is normal because of new default manjaro configuration.
