Kwinft vs Kwin?

Are there any advantages with the current status of KwinFt over Kwin?
faster, more stable …
I don’t use wayland, I am using a GeForce GT 630 with 3 screens & following drivers:
linux-latest-nvidia-435xx
nvidia-435xx-utils
lib32-nvidia-435xx-utils
lib32-opencl-nvidia-435xx

KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.73.0
Qt Version: 5.15.0
Kernel Version: 5.8.6-1-MANJARO
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 8 × AMD FX™-8350 Eight-Core Processor
Memory: 15.6 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: GeForce GT 630/PCIe/SSE2

And there I’d say: no, only disadvantages (more prone to breakage etc.).

I’ve marked the below answer as the solution to your question as it is by far the best answer you’ll get.

However, if you disagree with my choice, please feel free to take any other answer as the solution to your question or even remove the solution altogether: You are in control! (I just want to avoid even more subjective opinions being posted and confusing you even more)

:innocent:
P.S. In the future, please mark a solution like this:

KwinFT is programmed for Wayland. You can learn more about it here:

At some point Manjaro might switch over to part of the KwinFT project, as we have a really close relationship with them.
