Kibojoe Linux - Manjaro Linux re-spin with JWM [18.02rc5 is ready > 2018-03-19]

@Holmes: this question is still open.
I would also like to know the reason.

Thanks in advance.

The second one

Looking good, Holmes!

Theory: resource saving and redundancy.

Looking good, I can’t seem to find where I can download 17.09. Anyone care to point me in the right direction?

@Holmes, how much does the new version eat ram? I’m checking to know if I need to slim down bspwm edition further :slightly_smiling_face:

after boot 186 (used ram)!

i have not released yet…

Okay, so bspwm is still slightly lighter. I figure it should be around 130-150Mb range now that I added pulseaudio by default.

I’m looking forward to trying your edition, hope you import the profile soon :slightly_smiling_face:

Well , I got to my PC this morning and attempted to unlock the screen on my 17.04 JWM install to be told that my password was wrong. Rebooting the machine revealed a kernel panic so I figure its time for a new install.

I thought that maybe the SSD had died but I have managed to backup everything in /home. First time I have had such a catastrophic event occur. Hey ho

Loving the look of 17.09 so i will wait and continue using a live CD.

also now this happened to me with an old version of Manjaro JWM
strange thing!

vlw fwi, Holmes

@muser creates some great Manjaro wallpaper artwork, you guys should collaborate.

Oooh A new one, your on a roll @Holmes:grinning:

186 mb RAM?! That’s INSANE!

this value is about my system, which is an old installation
a new installation should be at 160mb

vlw fwi, Holmes

Still freaking amazing  haha

@Holmes, thank you for continuing your excellent development of this great edition of Manjaro!

I have had this issue on two machines when I attempted to update Kibojoe recently. However, after reinstalling the latest Kibojoe iso on all systems, I have not had any issues (as long as I do not update).

Thanks again for all of your work, @Holmes!

Looks like a great spin!

Gotta try this out, many thanks for the work @Holmes!

thank you @cybersquid and @tuxfan1
