Hi,

I try to install Proprietary drivers using Hardware Configuration, but I’m not able to complete.
There are some errors listed below. Some advice please ?

Done ...

Your local pacman db is outdated, last version of that package is linux54-nvidia-470.63.01-6

sudo pacman -Syy

Please believe me that before I post on the forum, I have read dozens of pages and I have taken the respective steps and I have booted a few times to make sure it is ok.

Something strange is happening since the last system update.

The command
sudo pacman-mirrors -f5 && pamac update
is not helping either?

Dear friend,

It seems that something was from the last update, which ruined something related to PAMAC.

And to make it even weirder, after I executed your combination, I woke up with a 1.3 GB update that also made a kernel update from 5.14.0.0 to 5.14.2.1.
After this last upgrade and reboot, I managed to install the proprietary drivers.

I will note this command line and place it in the VooDoo-Stuff category.

Thanks.

Is all documented in the wiki.
What happened is exactly what @Lolix described.
All good that after all everything is smooth again :+1:

Tip: When pasting terminal output on Discourse forums, one can either…

  • Highlight it and use the Preformatted text </> toolbar button.

  • Add three backticks ` above and below the text (Markdown):

    ```
    text
    ```

  • Use HTML:

    text

I’ve done it for you this time. :wink:
