Please consider adding this Phonetic Arabic Keyboard to the default language packs keyboard layouts.
A phonetic Arabic keyboard is much easier to use (IMO) vs. the qwerty/azerty options.
That’s not a language pack, it’s keyboard layout. The /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/ara file that repo provides would conflict with xkeyboard-config. Perhaps create an upstream issue:
