My case is differ from this: any key could be repeated, such as backspace.
It’s annoying when trying to input text. Thankfully it’s not that frequently.
When it’s occurring, I could use ctrl + A
to select all characters and delete them, then it’s back to normal.
Update: looks like losing focus
would also make it back to normal (by pressing the Win
key)
Does anyone experience the same thing?
I had a similar experience, a few extensions were responsable for the majority of symptoms. I would advice you to test it with all extensions disabled.
Do you mean extensions for ibus?
I only got these packages installed.
No, in my case gnome extensions were causing issues. Among them, random micro-freezes. Every time I opened a text editor any key that would press could be typed more times than intended.
Like I would type the word “hello” and I would see “heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeello” o “helllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllo” depending on the exact moment of the freeze.
