Kernel linux 519 and 6.0 bluetooth failed module and hold driver not present

hello,
I had to redo my pc after 9 years of excellent service XFCE Manjaro disk problem.

once remove everything related to bluetooth service ect…

then fetch the driver BCM20702A1-13d3-3404.hcd
copie /usr/lib/firmware/brcm pilote broadcom bluetooth

at: GitHub - winterheart/broadcom-bt-firmware: Repository for various Broadcom Bluetooth firmware

linux 519 crashes miserably
linux 6.0 even worse, detects and wants us to install the modules black screen failed module … everything is blocked

only linux 6.1 rc passes and there finally things return to normal (of course bluetooth is completely inactive) same for linux515

good there after having redone more than 10 times my system I wish:
that the driver is put back even if we must not use bluetooth and that there is no longer any lailed module

thank you

Not much information to go on here.
Perhaps post hardware specs → inxi is a good tool for that

this is generally not the recommended way - much more likely is that the drivers are
if not included in the kernel
are available to install from AUR

more info needed
(although I’m probably not the one who can best assess it)

Disfonc.

Please see How to Post and edit your topic title accordingly.

you think I first wanted to put the driver from AUR, but that takes away the firmware-manjaro… it doesn’t smell very good…

I tried as I was starting from scratch with a new disc I was more than 10 minutes away.
with your solution … it does not change anything at the level of linux 519 /6.0 …
you have to completely uninstall everything related to bluetooth.
to begin to see clearly

on the other hand it still does not change when starting linux6.0 black screen with the message start failed module

with that I have a beautiful leg mdrrr…

All I could figure out with journalctl -p err -b or journalctl -p info -b .

No longer the Manjaro or Arch forum
it all comes down to what i found

see @Yochanan 's post - we need at least basic system information in order to even try to help
which is kinda difficult without having some facts, you know? :slightly_smiling_face:

Kernels are for hardware support. New kernels enable new hardware to function. Seeing the install was 9 years old, do you have specific hardware that needs a newer kernel? New kernels also introduce new bugs sometimes. I recommend you try the 5.15 LTS (long term support) kernel and see if the problem remains.

the linux515 works but I had to put the driver in the usr/lib/firmware folder
and remove the bluetooth service
It is however an Asus rog g750jx with a real graphics card
workstation portable for work

hello, it is not normal that we force to have bluetooth and its dependencies, if we have a workstation or a server, we do not use bluetooth …

I had to do a dead disk reinstall…

bad news there is no sequel!!!
result fend for yourself
this is what I will answer on the french wiki
