KDE plasmashell freezes (loading aborted) after latest stable update - only mouse and yakuake working

Timeshift with Rsync? Pretty easy… just open the snapshot inside live boot with the Timeshift GUI and it will show you the Partitions which will get replaced.

As far i remember you not even have to chroot.

Since i have no exact idea what this issue could be, maybe your Widget since i dont have any problems but not using Widgets or Virtual Desktop… with KDE on my 3 year’s old AMD Laptop (Wayland) and 4 years KDE install on my Intel/Nvidia PC (X11) both system using LTS Kernel 6.6.

Maybe its something related to Maintaining?

I just had 14 days ago to merge this 3 pacnew files:
/etc/pacman.conf
/etc/pam.d/kde
/etc/mkinitcpio.conf

and as said now in the newest stable update again, you need to use:
sudo mkinitcpio -P

after some changes around mkinitcpio.

If you have AUR enabled, there was also several files that switched from official repo to AUR and need to be deleted under Foreign Packages.

I also deleted old plasma5 orphans after Updating to Plasma 6.0.4 with:

sudo pacman -Ru kf5
