I installed the 21.3.0 KDE Plasma distribution and tried to change the application launcher. After I clicked on a item in the list small lag appeared and screen flickered and the application launcher icon disappeared.
There were no option to get it back, there is no mention of it in the setting.

Right-click the panel or the desktop and choose “Enter edit mode”. Then right-click the panel and choose “Add widgets”. A list of widgets will appear on the left of the screen, from which you can choose different types of application launchers.
When you’re done, right-click the desktop again and choose “Exit edit mode”.
