KDE Plasma 5.26.x Stability Inquiry

With the several plugins a little over 18 MB.

That is modest enough.

Ahem, just a quick reminder that this is a thread about KDE Plasma, not about XFCE, thank you very much. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Well lets take this boring thread over and talk a little more about XFCE 4.18 and how great it is: The Tour gives you its highlights. And yes, it is all more about changes in Thunar. Works also great with other Desktop Environments. File Highlights via colours is very nice feature. Remembers a little of KDE3 when features and functions were more curated …

Fair enough. Your The Boss @philm…!

Sorry about making some more “noise”, here, but I just wanted to thank you and admit that my French is somewhat lacking as well…

Erm…this was English…

Except if you mean both English and French. In which case I don’t know what to say, because I think we’re too far apart to use visual cues…

:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Never heard the term, sorry about my French…? :astonished: It’s very…English…actually :v:

No, it’s very American.

It’s a cultural expression for anything considered “exotic” — read: forbidden by religion. For example…

  • a foreign movie = a porn movie
  • an exotic dancer = a stripper
  • French = using swear words

Blimey! Really!? I stand corrected then… :hushed: I thought it refered to general bad language et al…?

Ha! " * French = using swear words"

I went ahead and updated my main system to the latest Stable Updates (2022-12-20), while keeping KDE Plasma 5.24.7 LTS.

So far I haven’t noticed any serious problems.

But I think it broke YouTube? Maybe it’s a Qt library issue? Or maybe it’s because of my Intel GPU?

This happens on every YouTube video. Same bug in Firefox and Chromium.

I might have to use Timeshift to restore to a previous snapshot.

I’m afraid your computer is infected with the Rickroll Ransomware. There’s no other solution than to format your hard drive (or SSD) and all of your USB sticks, and to destroy all your optical media with a hammer.

OK, I will stop following the thread, between XFCE propaganda, and all this non sense… there’s no point getting notification spam for that…
