The freezing and “crashing” of kwin can be found on the following KDE bug tickets:

• 460594 – Plasma freeze happening since 5.26.0 update
• 457847 – kwin becomes unresponsive, need to restart session
• 460273 – KDE Neon components and Panel freeze after update to 5.26
