But so does this whole situation … even a power loss would rarely create big problems for the system. Were you in the middle of updating?
If so then you might want to reference this post
If your disk was in really bad shape then it wouldnt boot at all. But I would maybe suggest running fsck
from a live environment on your drive anyways, just to be sure.
( you cannot run fsck
on a mounted device/partition so it must be from another system or ISO )
