Akonadi (KMail / Kontact / KOrganizer…) fails to start

• The issue will be fixed in 22.04.3: 454948 – Akonadi server will not start on fresh install; yields “unknown error”
• In the meantime, you need to create a new ib_logfile0 in order to allow Akonadi to start.
• Since MariaDB has also been updated with this update, you may want to upgrade Akonadi’s database (this can take a while).

touch ~/.local/share/akonadi/db_data/ib_logfile0
akonadictl start
mariadb-upgrade --defaults-file=~/.local/share/akonadi/mysql.conf --socket=/run/user/$(id -u)/akonadi/mysql.socket
