I’m trying to install open-fuse-iso to mount an img file and I am getting an error saying that it is refusing to install AUR packages as root, aborting
Is there any way i can fix this? I’m pretty sure I am not root.
Thanks, tobfos.
Welcome at the forum, @tobfos,
how exactly did you try to install open-fuse-iso? Also, when you get errors, post them precisely.

Welcome to the forum!
But you might have used sudo
. That gives you root privileges for the command you’re executing.
When using an AUR helper such as yay
or trizen
, you must not prefix the command with sudo
. The AUR helper needs to be run from an unprivileged account and will itself ask you for the administrative password when needed.
