My laptop lags while charging

Good morning. I started using linux, beggining with manjaro for quite some time now. I have no regrets of my migration from windows to linux.

Recently I started facing up with a problem where my laptop starts decreasing performance when it charges. If the battery is plugged and I remove the charger, it comes back to normal.

Is this something I misconfigured? Please help.

Nope I can’t, and edits are not fully tracked, many conditions don’t trigger an “edit” anyway.

Alright, I realized somethings.

First, it’s more o a throttling problem since the CPU usage boostes immediatly after charging, and deboost when I remove it. Whenever I turn on my computer with the charger atached, it shows a BIOS warning. This might due to some updates that I might need to do but I am not so sure if it’s best thing I should do.

Ok, I might not found the problem but I found the solution, and what do I have to say. This is weird…

I can make the laptop last while charging but what makes it throttle is if the charger is fully penetrated into the socket.

This probably won’t work for most of the people reading this, but it’s either a charger problem or a motherboard problem.

Try sticking your charger without placing every single milemeter, and it might do the trick.

Either way I should buy a new laptop.
