Hi,
I’m using a 2560x1080 monitor and I’m only able to use this resolution if I let the computer turn on before turning on the monitor. If the monitor is on while the pc boots, it sets the resolution at 1080p and the native resolution is not listed in the settings.
It’s a minor inconvenience to have to be careful about how I boot the computer, but I still would like to fix this.
Is there some way I could try to manually redetect the available resolutions without rebooting? or some other way I could try to fix this?
This used to work fine when I had an actual GPU in this computer. But recently, this gpu died and I’ve been using the integrated graphics from my intel cpu instead.
I’ll add here the two different outputs of xrandr: booting with the monitor on (and getting at most 1920x1080), and then booting with the monitor off (and getting 2560x1080).
This is xrandr after booting with the monitor on:
[bruno@Listuq ~]$ xrandr

I’ve tried reconnecting the HDMI cable in with the monitor on/off, but it didn’ t change which resolutions were listed in the settings.
And here’s some information about the system:
