Running Manjaro on a Lenovo Legion 5 Laptop with a HDMI attached monitor. Initially setup as duplicates of each other. Two issues, which may be bugs or just my lack on knowledge on how to set these up:
First is on waking up from sleep. When a password is required, it will put the password typing box up on the HDMI screen. You can type normally, even show the password you typed, but it is just not possible to effectively hit enter for the password. Neither a CR nor selecting the arrow will pass in what you typed. The work around for this is to select change users, so that the password box appears on the main display; then it works normally.
Second is how Display Configuration is now working. Initially I set these up to have the external screen be the dup of the main display. Usually though I kept the laptop display folded down and just used the HDMI. After several rounds of updates, now the laptop display is blank even when up, and when I go into Display Configuration, I cannot change (or even select) how the main screen is used. Only the HDMI screen show up, I can’t select the main screen and place it to the right or left of the HDMI, or change it from dup to extended. This ability used to be there, but seems to have been lost over some updates.
FWIW, this Legion 5 has an Nvidia graphics chip which is the only one wired to the HDMI port. That may be a factor.
Without any system information, it will be difficult to work out what may be causing the issue. We don’t even know which desktop environment you are running (Plasma, Gnome, Xfce etc).
Please read through the pre-prepared instructions below and provide the output of inxi -zv8 in your next reply (or you can edit your original post to include the inxi -zv8 output).

Thanks Scotty65. Tried replying with the output of the inxi -zv8c0 command, but when I try to post it complains about links. However even with the obvious links removed (http://…) it still is complaining. I could not find any other obvious internet links in the text. Any pointers as to what it might be complaining about?
You haven’t yet interacted sufficiently with the forum to allow some ptivileges such as pasting live links, and images - this is enforced by the forum software.
Because of this restriction, if you enter malformed content or fail to adhere to forum guidelines for presentation, you may encounter the warnings you mention.
Until you have “levelled up” (so to speak) you can post links in this format https://forum.manjaro.org which will allow others to copy/paste the URL, if they wish.
You have been given links to necessary guidelines via the post from @scotty65 (above). Did you read it? You just need to follow those links and carefully read the pages concerned. As is often said, “It’s not rocket science”.
Properly place the three backticks ( ```) as instructed on their own line above and below the pasted code or command output, and these warnings should be a non-issue.
Quick tip: When mentioning another member, always type the @ character – this will popup a small modal allowing you to select names from a dropdown list.
Not only does this prevent you from mispelling their name but also ensures they are notified of your comment. Without it, they may never know you mentioned them.
