I have Manjaro KDE installed on a 256 GB SSD with btrfs filesystem and timeshift snapshots enabled. There are total 27 snapshots as of now including manual and scheduled ones. My question is that if a large number of snapshots will slow down my system? If it is so, is there any recommended no of snapshots which I should not exceed (and is there any way to automate that)?
Why would it? Those snapshots are not being read or written to once they have been created.

- You only have to watch for the free space on the btrfs volume. To be save stay under 90%.
- There is a possible slowdown when using snapshots with quotas. Please have a look at: Known issues@kernel.org
