Is there a way to show active file operations in the top panel?

Coming from Linux Mint and the Cinnamon DE I remember fondly that if you closed the window showing the progress of file operations it would minimize to the tray. I like how nautilus handles file operations within itself but miss this feature.

I tried to find any mention of this kind of feature in this context anywhere to no avail so here’s hoping someone has an answer here.

When you say the top panel, I’m guessing you mean Dash to Panel which would somewhat resemble Cinnamon’s panel. That would be a feature request for the extension developer.

Ah yes that is the case, completely forgot the top panel wasn’t in mainline GNOME these days. Thanks for the rapid response once again.
