Is It Possible To Play A Video On Boot?

With some looking around, I haven’t really been able to find any tutorials or anything related to what I’m trying to do. I’m a newbie, so perhaps I’m not looking in the right places, but anyway.

I LOVE the PS2 boot sequence. So much so that I want to have it play when I boot up my computer. Nothing crazy, I just want it to be a simple video. Is it possible to do this, and if so, where would I start? I’m assuming I need to do something with GRUB, so it might be important to note that my machine is EFI.

You could make a bootsplash-systemd theme or plymouth theme with frames from a video, probably.

Wow! Thank you! That helps a lot! Do you know if there is there a way to make it come with some sort of audio file as well? I’m not seeing the option to for either of those programs, so I am assuming not…?

I’ve never seen anything with audio, no.

Thought so. Thanks, regardless! This helped a ton!

I did not try it.
And I found this on duckduckgo:
