After switching to Kernel 6.14 I experience very slow download rates (< 1Mbit/s), whereas the same download with 6.13 under otherwise the same conditions, is about 11 Mbit/s, as expected for a 100Mbit connection. I use the unstable branch.
I tested this on two computers, one at work and one at home, by downloading visual studio code from the official server. Downgrading the network-manager made no difference and switching between WIFI and Ethernet made no difference either.
As there some substantial changes in the networking stack in Kernel 6.14, a regression does not seem implausible.
Can anyone confirm this or is this just on my computer? For the time being I will therefore stick with 6.13.
In my environment, the speed is the same as usual.
Today, I downloaded some things from github, such as manjaro next/dev.
This is a regular thing, so I can say the speed is the same as usual.
A general truism is that one should use the kernel that gives the least trouble with the combination of hardware used. On my own systems kernel 6.12 (LTS) is performing quite admirably, for example.

Output of this command (formatted according to forum requirements) may be useful for those wishing to help:
inxi --filter --verbosity=8
or the short form:
inxi -zv8
Be prepared to provide more information and outputs from other commands whenever asked. It’s equally important to provide as much actionable information as possible in your first post, rather than simply indicating there is a problem.
That is not a great way to test download speed. The visual studio code server could be experiencing a high amount of traffic, or you could just be connected to a different CDN mirror which is a bit slow. Or there could be network congestion in your area.
Could you please install speedtest-cli:
sudo pacman -Syu speedtest-cli
and then run speedtest in a terminal to get your download & upload speeds.
I’m also on kernel 6.14.0-1 with a 100Mbit/s connection, and even though it is peak usage time of the evening, I’m still getting a decent download speed of 93.69 Mbit/s:

According to the results obtained, the transfer is identical for 6.13 and 6.14. Although I repeated my previous tests several times, there were apparently influenced by variation in the server speed. Initially, my test were prompted by slow download speeds from the manjaro mirrors.
Given the experience of the other users above, I think, this could be tagged as solved. How can this be done?
