Internal microphone not working, most likely sof-firmware issue

The internal microphone does not show up in Audio Mixer UI, it shows up in alsamixer though. It does not work though and is not detected by any application which uses the microphone.

Here is my device information -
CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 6800H
GPU - NVIDIA Geforce RTX 3070TI

I think the issue lies with sof-firmware as even after installing it, the capture devices were not updated. Does anyone have an idea what is going wrong here.
