I double checked and it’s the right disk.

Thanks anyway for the help. It’s true that I have an old system but everything else works fine in Manjaro except for this.

When you boot from the latest iso and repeat the tests, are the results the same?

Yes actually I reinstalled Manjaro (after deleting it to test EndeavourOS) and it’s the same result.

What DE did you use?

If KDE, did you disable baloo that indexes a lot of files and contents? baloo would cause the issue.

I used XFCE.

Generally speaking baloo uses some extra resources to initially build its index … after that its pretty tame.
