Intermittent Application/Panel freezing after update

After the recent update that pushed through a few days ago, I’ve been having intermittent applications freezes, that seem to last 20-40 seconds. Sometimes I’ll get several in a matter of minutes, other times I’ll go over an hour without seeing any freezing. When an application freezes, my taskbar panels appear to freeze with it, as the system clock will stop for the duration. However, despite this I can typically use the other applications that aren’t frozen normally for the duration. I’ve tried using both the 5.11 kernel as well as the 5.10 kernel, the problem appears to persist with both. What might I be able to do to mitigate this?

bumping

Minor update, it appears that the freezing consistently happens when the clock reads 19 seconds.

The problem appears to have been caused by one of my secondary hard drives experiencing a failure; after preventing that hard drive from mounting on boot I stoped having the graphical issues.
