Intel AX200 only WIFI working on gnome

Hi,

I’m having what looks like the same problem as other posts here, but they do not seem to have been solved or their solution do not work for me.
As mentioned in the subject, I have an Intel AX2000 chip (not a dongle) that I’ve added a while back to my desktop computer to get wifi and bluetooth. However, while the wifi has been working very well, the bluetooth has never worked.
I have tried kernels 5.4 and 5.10.

Gnome settings indicates No bluetooth found
Bluetoothctl indicates: No default controller available

After a (blind) sudo modprobe btusb read about elsewhere I’ve managed to start bluetooth in systemctl, which now reports:

Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/bluetooth.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled)

But still no device is found.
I seem to have an older iwlw firmware than in other posts, although my computer is updated (stable):

Is the inxi output before or after the modprobe ?

I do not know but this one is after rebooting, presumably back into pre-modprobe state:

It’s the same: no Bluetooth data can be found, so what’s the output of:

lspci | grep --ignore-case blue
lsusb | grep --ignore-case blue

after a fresh reboot and after the modprobe?

Also, what’s the output of:

ls /etc/modprobe.d/

(I.E. did you blacklist Bluetooth in the past?)

lspci | grep --ignore-case blue
lsusb | grep --ignore-case blue

They both return nothing.
And ls /etc/modprobe.d/ returns:
r8169_blacklist.conf

cat /etc/modprobe.d/r8169_blacklist.conf

Please?

It gives:
blacklist r8169
Thanks!

Hrmpf… :exploding_head: (Thanks for your effort, but not what I was expecting… )

What’s the output of:

rfkill list

It gives:

0: phy0: Wireless LAN
	Soft blocked: no
	Hard blocked: no
  • Also not what I was expecting, so the only conclusion I can make with the information I have is: hardware failure.
  • Do you have a spare card around???

:fearful:

Alas no.
Thank you for the help!

Ona last piece of advice: Buy a Bluetooth dongle that is Linux compatible… (Check before you buy that it’s Kernel 5.X compatible!)

:frowning:
