Installing Nvidia utils fails on testing branch?

Refreshing the mirrors would filter out those that aren’t up to date yet, so that cannot be the cause.

Which leads back to… are the mirrors actually being refreshed?.. and of course they must be.

I can’t explain it.

By the way, what is the original site(s)? Can those be used for a test and are they as bugged up as the rest? I assume so, since I assume the mirrors sync relatively often.

At the moment, the conclusions seems to be, that it’s a clusterfek

My guess is that the dependency reference for nvidia-utils simply hasn’t been updated, and there’s no issue otherwise.

pacman -Si nvidia-utils

Maybe our friendly neighbourhood packager of said package might have something to add. @Yochanan

That’s all I have at this time.

Thanks for all your work  It helps to see you have the same issue. Well, psychologically at least.

Went a bit stronger on the update (after seeing this recommended after branch changes somewhere in the forum) and ran pacman -Syyuu … and it went downloading a whole bunch of things, where I saw Mesa etc. And now, pacman -Syu nvidia-utils corectly fetches 580.

The double y' was already advised to you earlier, and this is what will have done the job. The double u on the other hand will have had nothing to do with it, since that allows for packages to be downgraded.

I see, thank you. I’ll have to try what happens at home. Will try in the evening. I tend to miss or forget things it seems
