Resolution problem (using DVI-I to VGA converter)

I’m using version 22.0.5 with pre-installed KDE Plasma GUI and DVI-I to VGA converter, and when I’m trying to add resolution (1280x1024@75; aspect ratio 5:4) using xrandr, it showing me that error:

Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request: 140 (RANDR)
Minor opcode of failed request: 18 (RRAddOutputMode)
Serial number of failed request: 29
Current serial number in output stream: 30

As I found out, the problem is due to the adapter.

After searching the Internet for more possible solutions to problems, I came across the fact that you can add the necessary values to xorg.conf and it will work, but after searching the entire system, I did not found it.

GTS 450 have a DVI connector, but for some reason I when I’m plugging it in there is no video at all.

Is there any possible solution to add it or seems what Manjaro not for me?

please post the basic informations first. none of us can predict what your system and installed driver is. use the option “preformatted text” and paste the info of the command below inside.

sudo inxi --admin --verbosity=7 --filter --no-host --width

your driver must work properly. a lot of laptops can only use full capabilities of the external display only on dedicated gpu not the igpu. your adapter might not be able to support @75Hz and so forth.
a link to the setup of xorg.conf can be found here:

Oh, my bad! Inxi printed me that:

And yeah, I didn’t knew that xorg.conf must be installed manually. Thanks! <3
